SWF Participates in 2015 SmallSat Conference

SWF Project Manager Ian Christensen and Technical Advisor Brian Weeden attended the 29th annual Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah, August  8-13, 2015. The conference brought together more than 1,800 people from 34 countries to discuss recent advances in small satellite technology, applications, and upcoming missions. SWF's presence at the conference was part of an on-going effort to develop better relationships with new entrants into the space world.

During the conference, SWF hosted an informal side event for SmallSat participants to discuss development of SWF's Handbook for New Actors in Space and provide feedback on industry best practices, lessons learned from prior small satellite and cubesat missions, and the topics and issues to include in the Handbook that would be of interest to the small satellite community.
