Space Weather and Small Satellites: How the Sun Impacts LEO

Low Earth orbit (LEO) is increasingly crowded as more satellite operators seek to exploit the benefits LEO has to offer. Beyond crowding, the region is also subject to perturbations from the Sun's effects on the outer layers of the atmosphere and complex electrical phenomena. This event was hosted by Secure World Foundation and the University of Colorado at Boulder as a moderated discussion with speakers from academia, government, and industry to better understand this key challenge of operating in LEO.
