U.S. Department of State's Science Envoy for Space, Former NASA Administrator and Astronaut
The US-India and US-Japan Business Councils, along with the Secure World Foundation, jointly hosted a briefing by the State Department's Science Envoy for Space, Charles Frank Bolden Jr., to discuss his recent visits to India and Japan where he engaged with government officials and industry. Gen. Bolden is both a former astronaut and NASA Administrator. In his current role he continues to promote American leadership in space exploration and emphasize the importance of commercial opportunities. Gen. Bolden also discussed broader U.S. Government plans to promote commercial space internationally, as well as plans for the upcoming U.S.-India space dialogue later this year.
Secure World Foundation's Washington Office Director, Victoria Samson, moderated a discussion following the briefing by Gen. Bolden.
