2019 Eilene M. Galloway Symposium on Critical Issues in Space Law

The Eilene M. Galloway Symposium on Critical Issues in Space Law (Symposium) has its roots in a 2006 conference and workshop organized by the Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL), Faculty of Law, McGill University and the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) in cooperation with the Cologne Institute of Air and Space Law, the Leiden International Institute of Air and Space Law and the University of Mississippi National Center for Remote Sensing, Air, and Space Law (Center). The Galloway Symposium is an annual event hosted in honor of space law and policy pioneer Eilene M. Galloway.
The theme of the 2019 Symposium was Contemporary Issues and New Lessons in Space Commercialization. Executive Director Peter Martinez participated in a panel discussion on "International best practices to preserve the outer space environment," moderated by Richard H. Buenneke (Office of Emerging Security Challenges, US Department of State).The full program can be found here.
