9th Asia/Oceania Meteorological Satellite Users' Conference

When: Saturday, October 6, 2018

to Thursday, October 11, 2018

Where: Jakarta, Indonesia

This October, in partnership with the World Metrological Organization (WMO) and Indonesia Agency for Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), Secure World Foundation supported the 9th Asia/Oceania Meteorological Satellite Users' Conference (AOMSUC-9), a scientific and technical event in the Asia-Pacific for those working in satellite remote sensing with applications in meteorology, climatology, oceanography and related fields.

This important event was designed to further enhance the information exchange on various application techniques among satellite data users, to advance satellite observation technologies and to further prepare the Asia-Oceania region for taking full advantage of the new generation satellites. Secure World Foundation’s contribution allowed the participation of a number of key experts and helped to address user needs in the under-served Pacific region and small-island developing states.
