Jihan Asher
Jihan Asher is Secure World Foundation's Operations and Communications Coordinator based in Washington, DC. While working as a research assistant at the University of Connecticut, she gained experience coding data by assisting two senior faculty researchers on a pilot content analysis study of three major Dominican periodicals over two years.
Following graduation from the University of Maryland, she served as an AmeriCorps member in the Citizenship Maryland program at CASA (formerly, CASA de Maryland) and worked as a community organizer in her neighborhood. She brings a diverse administrative skill set to the Washington office and in her spare time, can be found exploring one of D.C's many museums or independent bookstores.
Education
Ms. Asher earned her Bachelor's in History from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Master's in International Studies from the University of Connecticut.
